The Department of Computational Sciences of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women organised a national conference titled “Emerging Convergence of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and CyberSecurity (CONVERGE 2026)” at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium here.
The conference commenced with a welcome address by Dr. P. B. Harathi, Principal of the college. The inaugural address was delivered by Udaya Sankar, Director, NASSCOM, Chennai, who spoke on the rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Cyber Security and their growing influence on industry and society. He underlined the need for professionals with cross-domain expertise and urged students and researchers to continuously upgrade their skills in line with industry expectations. The conference proceedings were released on the occasion.
Technical sessions were handled by experts including Dr. T. Amutha, Professor, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Dr. Aishwarya Sundaram, Senior Consultant, Infosys, Coimbatore, and Ramesh Kumar, Technical Manager, XR Products, Bengaluru. The sessions focused on emerging trends in IoT systems, research opportunities and industry best practices.
A special tech talk session was conducted by college alumnae V. Praveena, Research Scholar, Anna University, and Nandhini Kandasamy, Technical Lead, CTS, Coimbatore, who shared their professional experiences and insights with participants.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. G. Sophia Reena, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Information Technology.
