Chinthmani to launch online sales scheme

Housing Minister Muthusamy inaugurated the self-service branch of Erode Chinthamani at Erode Central Bus Stand today.
Erode East MLA VC Chandrakumar, Collector Kandasamy, Mayor Nagaratnam Subramaniam, Deputy Mayor Selvaraj and others participated in the event. Chintamani Managing Director Selvakumar said:
Erode District Cooperative Wholesale Market Chinthamani is launching the Erode Co-op app in two days. Through it, it is also implementing a program to deliver goods to those who register online. Currently, Chintamani is selling groceries and medicine worth Rs 70 crore per year.
The association is operating in profit. It has incurred losses in the past. The funds due from Coimbatore Chinthamani have been received.
Currently, there are five self-service branches. There are 8 medical stores. There are two CM medical stores.
Apart from this, wholesale medicine sales are done through Chinthamani to 35 CM medical stores in the district.
It distributes goods to 372 ration shops. It runs 25 ration shops on its own. Honey and other products produced by cooperative societies will be brought from other districts and a separate sales unit will be set up at the Chintamani branch of the bus stand.
Special discounts will be given to those who buy goods worth more than Rs 2000.
The prices of groceries here are about 5 to 10 percent lower than in the external market.
