Indian Bank organises mega loan camp, sanctions ₹1,300 Crore assistance

Indian Bank organised a Mega Retail, Agriculture and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Loan Camp in Coimbatore, sanctioning loans worth ₹1,300 crore under various schemes aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, agriculture and business growth.
The programme was conducted by the Coimbatore Field General Manager’s Office of Indian Bank at Taj Vivanta Hotel, Race Course. The event was presided over by Shri Sujay Mallik, Chief General Manager, Retail Assets and MSME, Indian Bank. Customers from Coimbatore and Tiruppur participated directly in the event, while entrepreneurs, farmers and bank officials from Salem, Dharmapuri, Tiruppur, Tiruchirappalli regions joined through video conferencing. Addressing reporters later, Shri Sujay Mallik, the Chief General Manager, Retail Assets and MSME, Indian Bank, said the bank had extended financial assistance worth ₹1,300 crore covering agriculture, MSME, commercial and retail banking sectors. He noted that the MSME sector plays a crucial role in India’s economic growth and that Indian Bank is committed to providing quick and hassle-free credit support to entrepreneurs through simplified procedures.
He further stated that several special loan schemes are being implemented for start-up entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs, youth and farmers. Awareness was also created on home loans, vehicle loans, education loans and business loans.
Hundreds of beneficiaries received loan sanction orders during the camp, which is expected to boost industrial growth and employment generation in the region.
