In a heartwarming tale of luck and gratitude, a humble vegetable seller from Rajasthan has become a millionaire overnight after winning the Rs 11 crore Diwali bumper lottery.
The winner, Amit Sera from Kotputli in Jaipur district, eked out a living by selling vegetables on a pushcart. During a recent visit to Punjab, he learned about the state government’s special Diwali bumper lottery that carried a grand prize of Rs 11 crore.
Short on funds, Amit sought help from his friend Mukesh, who lent him the money to buy a single ticket from a lottery shop in Bathinda. He returned home, not expecting much — until fate intervened.
When the draw was held on October 31, Amit’s ticket number was announced as the first-prize winner, making him an instant crorepati.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Amit said, “This is an unexpected blessing from God. I plan to use this money for my children’s education and will gift Rs 1 crore to my friend Mukesh, who helped me buy the ticket.”
From pushing a vegetable cart on Jaipur’s streets to holding a winning ticket worth crores, Amit’s story has spread across Rajasthan, inspiring many with a message of hope, gratitude, and the magic of unexpected fortune.
