Amazon lays off over 150 employees in Robotics division

Amazon, the Seattle-based global e-commerce and technology giant, has continued its workforce reduction, laying off more than 150 employees from its robotics division.
The company, which employs over 300,000 people worldwide, has been implementing periodic layoffs as part of its restructuring and cost-control measures.
Reports indicate that around 16,000 employees have been laid off during the current fiscal year across various divisions.
The latest round of layoffs has primarily affected staff working in the robotics unit.
Since 2022, Amazon has laid off nearly 57,000 employees as the company restructures its operations amid economic uncertainties and technological changes.
Industry observers note that several technology companies have been reducing their workforce in recent years due to global economic pressures and the increasing adoption of artificial intelligence and automation in business operations.
