Wild elephant enters CRPF Campus

A wild elephant entered the Central Reserve Police Force Training College campus near Kathirnayakkanpalayam on Mettupalayam Road in Coimbatore district and consumed rice, flour and other food items from the kitchen, creating a stir.
The CRPF training college is located close to forest areas, leading to frequent movement of wildlife in and around the campus. Wild elephants that stray from the forest are often seen roaming near the college and nearby villages, occasionally causing damage.
On Sunday night, a lone wild elephant entered the CRPF camp and damaged items stored in the kitchen before eating rice and flour products kept there.
Personnel at the camp recorded the incident on their mobile phones.
The video showing the elephant entering the campus and eating food items is now circulating widely on social media.
