The 11th Annual Sports Day of AAA College of Engineering and Technology was celebrated with enthusiasm on March 27 at the college premises.
V. Vijayakumar, Assistant Director, Department of Physical Education, Anna University, Madurai, attended as the chief guest, while K. Abhishek Pandian, Member of the Panchurajan Amaravathi Trust, participated as special invitee.
The event began with the lighting of the Olympic torch, hoisting of the flag and an impressive march past by students. Principal Dr. Sekar delivered the felicitation address.
In his address, V. Vijayakumar stressed the importance of regular physical exercise for maintaining good health. He advised students to follow a balanced diet and avoid junk food. K. Abhishek Pandian highlighted the role of sports in ensuring both physical and mental well-being and urged students to engage in at least 30 minutes of daily physical activity.
Physical Education Director M. Veerukannan presented the annual report outlining sports activities conducted during the year.
Medals and certificates were distributed to students and faculty members who excelled in competitions. The event also featured vibrant performances by students, including Silambam, Surul Vaal Veechu, Yoga, Karate and pyramid formations.
