Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Department of Critical Care Medicine, and Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, jointly with the Indian Association of Respiratory Care (IARC), organised a one-day national conference, INTENSICARE 2026, at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore.
Dr. Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp and presided over the event. Dr. V. M. Balasubramaniam, Consultant Intensivist and Head of Critical Care Services, Department of Critical Care Medicine, Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, was the Chief Guest.
Dr. Saumy Johnson, General Secretary, Indian Association of Respiratory Care, was the Guest of Honour and spoke on the scope of respiratory and critical care technologists. Dr. R. P. Ramkumar, Consultant Intensivist, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, unveiled the theme of the conference.
Shri C. V. Ramkumar, Chief Executive Officer, SNR Sons and Trust; Shri D. Mahesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer, SNR Sons and Trust; Dr. S. Rajagopal, Medical Director, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital; Dr. S. Alagappan, Medical Superintendent, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital; and Dr. P. Sathya, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Allied Health Sciences, guided the conference.

Gopinathan, Head of the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital; and Dr. C. Ganga, Consultant Intensivist, SKS Hospital, Salem.
More than 200 Allied Health Sciences students from various colleges across the southern States participated in the conference and benefited from the sessions. Students also took part in an e-poster presentation, with the best three posters selected and awarded.
