Stalin to Campaign in Madurantakam On Oct. 3

DMK president M.K. Stalin is scheduled to campaign in Madurantakam on October 3 in support of the party’s candidate I. Paranthaman for the Assembly bypoll.Stalin is expected to address an election campaign meeting in Madurantakam and seek votes for Paranthaman, who is the DMK candidate in the October 6 bypoll.The Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly constituencies are going to polls on October 6, with counting scheduled for October 9. The bypolls were necessitated after the then AIADMK MLAs from the two constituencies resigned and joined the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.The DMK has fielded I. Paranthaman in Madurantakam and S. Suganya in Dharapuram. The two constituencies are witnessing a multi-cornered contest involving the TVK, DMK, AIADMK, Naam Tamilar Katchi and Left parties.Campaigning has already intensified in both constituencies, with leaders and candidates of various parties seeking support ahead of the October 6 polling.
