Aavin hikes prices of 63 Dairy products

Aavin has announced a price hike for 63 dairy products, including ghee, butter, milkshakes, curd and sweets, across Tamil Nadu from October 28, ahead of the Deepavali festival. The price revision has been attributed to rising raw material and administrative costs.
The price of one litre of Aavin ghee has been increased by Rs. 80 to Rs. 780, while the 500 ml pack has become costlier by Rs. 30, taking its price to Rs. 400. The price of a 100-gram ghee bottle has been raised by Rs. 10 to Rs. 95.
The price of a 200 ml milkshake has been increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 35, while 500 ml curd will cost Rs. 40, up from Rs. 35. Prices of several sweets, including rasagulla, palkova, Mysore pak, halwa and kaju katli, have also been revised.
The price of a 250-gram pack of Mysore pak has been increased to Rs. 160, while 250 grams of kaju katli will cost Rs. 280. A 250-gram pack of badusha has been priced at Rs. 205.
However, Aavin milk prices will remain unchanged.
The price hike comes as consumers prepare for Deepavali, when demand for ghee, butter and traditional sweets typically increases. The revised prices are expected to affect household spending on festive purchases.
