Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay issued a government job appointment order to a differently-abled youth, Dinesh, within a day of receiving his request for employment.
The youth had submitted a petition to the Chief Minister on Thursday, seeking a government job during an event held at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Guindy, Chennai.
During the event, Vijay distributed appointment orders to 673 Junior Training Officers, inaugurated new skill training laboratories and presented certificates of appreciation to students who secured top positions at the national level in industrial training examinations.
A memorandum of understanding was also exchanged with Schneider Electric for establishing modern electrical laboratories in government ITIs.
Following the event, Dinesh approached the Chief Minister and requested government employment. Responding to his appeal, Vijay issued an appointment order to him on Friday.
Dinesh has been appointed as a Workshop Assistant at the Government ITI in Tiruvottiyur.
The appointment was made within a day of his submitting the request to the Chief Minister.
