At the People’s Grievance Redressal Day meeting held at the Coimbatore District Collector’s Office today, District Collector Pavankumar G. Giriyappanavar, IAS, received petitions from the public and directed officials to take immediate action.
A total of 367 petitions were submitted, including 39 petitions for free housing, 138 for house titles, 4 for employment opportunities, and 186 under various other categories such as old age allowance, land title transfer, and new family cards. The District Collector handed over the petitions to the respective department officers with orders to resolve them within the stipulated timeframe.
During the meeting, the District Collector also distributed government welfare assistance worth ₹79,700 to 12 beneficiaries on behalf of the District Backward Classes Welfare Department. This included items such as a bronze scrubber box valued at ₹6,700 and sewing machines worth ₹6,000 each.
The meeting was attended by District Revenue Officer Dr. M. Sharmila (verified), Special Assistant Collector (Social Security Scheme) Vanilekshmi Jagathammal, Personal Assistant (General) to District Collector Niraimati, and TADCO General Manager Maheshwari.
