85 percent of poll promises fulfilled: Minister Muthusamy replies to Anbumani

Over 85 percent of the promises made by DMK have been fulfilled. The evidence for this has been submitted in the Assembly itself. If desired, I am ready to give that book to Anbumani Ramadoss, said Housing Minister Muthusamy. He inaugurated a public grievance redressal camp in the fiftieth ward of Erode Corporation. After that, he said:
A large number of petitions have been resolved through camps like Stalin with you, Makkaludan Mudalvar. However, these camps are currently being held to resolve the problems of the people on a ward-by-ward basis. Action will be taken on the petitions within 45 days. He said that three specific problems will definitely be resolved in each ward. While responding to Anbumani’s allegations regarding the Athikadavu Avinashi project, he said that the previous AIADMK government had made various irregularities in the project. After the DMK government came to power, the irregularities were corrected after talking to the farmers. Water is currently flowing to a thousand of the total 1045 ponds. Water is supplied only for seventy days in a year.
The rest of the days, the pipes remain intact. Even if we leave the house for 10 days, the water in the pipes in our houses stops flowing. That is how those pipes get damaged.
Action will be taken to fix this by negotiating with Larsen Toubro. We are talking to the farmers for the second phase of the Athikadavu Avinasi project. Similarly, the AIADMK party, which passed the Uratchikottai Drinking Water Project in Erode Corporation, also made a big mess.
That is why the problem continues. Anbumani is talking about closing the liquor shops. We have already closed 500 shops. Ministers have seen the affected farmers in Thanjavur Delta. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi has seen them.
The government will provide them with the necessary relief, he said. MLA Chandrakumar, Mayor Nagaratnam Subramaniam and many others attended the event.
