Smriti Mandhana’s missing engagement ring sparks fresh speculation online

Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has once again become the subject of social media after she appeared in a recent Instagram advertisement video without an engagement ring, reigniting speculation about her postponed wedding. Mandhana, 29, hails from Sangli, Maharashtra, and is one of India’s most popular women cricketers. She recently played a crucial role for India and is also the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women’s Premier League. She was earlier reported to be engaged to musician Palash Muchhal from Madhya Pradesh. The couple’s wedding was initially scheduled to take place on the 23rd at Mandhana’s farmhouse in Sangli, and several pre-wedding rituals, including the mehendi ceremony, were reportedly held. However, the wedding was suddenly postponed after Mandhana’s father Srinivas suffered chest pain and was admitted to a nearby hospital’s intensive care unit. Mandhana later stated that the wedding would be held only after her father fully recovered. Around the same time, Palash Muchhal was also hospitalised briefly due to health issues and later discharged after treatment. Subsequently, unverified screenshots allegedly linked to Palash Muchhal began circulating on social media, triggering rumours and controversy. Around this period, Mandhana also deleted several personal videos and photos related to her wedding celebrations and earlier romantic posts, adding to public curiosity. Now, after returning to social media following the wedding postponement, Mandhana shared a new advertisement video on Instagram, in which no engagement ring was seen on her finger. This has once again sparked speculation among fans and netizens. However, it remains unclear whether the advertisement was filmed before or after the wedding was postponed. Neither Smriti Mandhana nor Palash Muchhal has issued any official statement regarding the current status of their relationship.
