US based Tamils feat in reciting Thirukkural

The US based 1,330 Tamils ​​simultaneously recited all 1,330 verses of the world’s sacred text, Thirukkural, creating a record, in the US.
People from different cities in the United States set out to attempt the feat. The feat began on April 6th and continued until October 4th.
Tamil Sangams operating in various American cities such as Washington, San Francisco, Chicago, Jacksonville, Dallas, Cincinnati, San Antonio, and Austin came together to organize this.
People of all ages, from children to adults, participated in it and memorized the Thirukkurals. The programs were held under the supervision of the Kural Koodal Semmozhi Foundation.
The act of 1,330 people from different cities memorizing 1,330 verses through video is a rare feat. Accordingly, the feat has been recorded in two famous record books of the country, ‘High Range’ and ‘Spotlight’.
This achievement is a testament to the fact that Tamils ​​living abroad across the seas have not forgotten the Tamil language and continue to speak and learn classical Tamil wherever they are. This event, which took place in the United States, has awakened the language sensibilities of not only Tamils ​​living in Tamil Nadu but also Tamils ​​around the world.
Tamil Sangam organizations living in other countries should also promote such Tamil literary events. Why, even in Tamil Nadu, Tamils ​​living in America are guiding us to achieve many more achievements in Tamil.
