Airbnb unveils exclusive experiences at Lollapalooza India

Airbnb has announced a set of exclusive Experiences for Lollapalooza India 2026, marking its first global partnership centred on live music and expanding its presence in India’s cultural and entertainment space. The music festival will be held on January 24 and 25 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai.
The initiative is designed to offer festival-goers curated access beyond the main stage, including backstage interactions, artist-led creative sessions and insider tours that reveal how one of India’s biggest live music events comes together. Airbnb said the Experiences aim to deepen connections between travel, culture and creativity.
Amanpreet Bajaj, Country Head for India and Southeast Asia at Airbnb, said live music and travel are closely linked, as people often explore host cities while attending festivals. He added that the collaboration with Lollapalooza India allows fans to engage with the festival as insiders rather than spectators.
One of the Experiences will allow guests to join the entourage of singer-songwriter and composer Ankur Tewari on January 24, offering backstage access, insights into his pre-show rituals and entry to select aftershows. Another Experience on January 25 features composer-producer duo OAFF and Savera, giving participants a glimpse into their creative process and stage preparations.
Festival enthusiasts can also take part in a behind-the-scenes tour led by Raashi Sanghavi, a Lollapalooza India Insider with extensive experience in festival production and global partnerships.
The tour will provide insights into the planning, logistics and scale of a major live music event.
Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer for Live Events at BookMyShow, said the partnership opens up a side of Lollapalooza India usually seen only by performers and crew.
Each Experience is priced at Rs 5,850, with bookings opening on December 15 on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests will be responsible for their own travel to Mumbai, while Airbnb offers a range of stays across the city to coincide with the festival weekend.
