As the English New Year 2026 was ushered in with celebrations across the country, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin paid floral tributes at the memorials of C. N. Annadurai and M. Karunanidhi on Marina Beach on New Year’s Day.
The Chief Minister visited the memorials of Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar early in the day and paid homage, marking the beginning of the New Year with remembrance and respect.
Earlier, M. K. Stalin extended New Year greetings to the people of Tamil Nadu and Tamils across the world. In his message, he conveyed hopes for progress, unity and fresh achievements in the year ahead.
Sharing videos of volunteers and party workers who met him on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the New Year had begun with “siblings who are striving for new successes,” reflecting optimism and renewed determination as 2026 begins.
