CMA Convention begins in Coimbatore

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) is organising its 63rd National Cost and Management Accountants’ Convention (NCMAC) 2026 in Coimbatore from January 9 to 11. The national-level convention is being held under the leadership of ICMAI President CMA TCA Srinivasa Prasad along with members of the Institute’s Council.
NCMAC 2026, the Institute’s most prestigious annual professional event, brings together policymakers, senior government officials, industry leaders, academicians, global professionals and students to deliberate on the evolving role of Cost and Management Accountants in India’s economic and industrial transformation, in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The three-day convention is being conducted on the theme “RISE India – Reposition India and CMAs, Intensify Growth, Strengthen Competence & Enhance Capabilities.” The theme underlines the growing strategic importance of CMAs in improving cost competitiveness, enhancing productivity, promoting sustainability, enabling ESG practices and supporting data-driven decision-making across manufacturing and service sectors.
The convention features inaugural and plenary sessions, technical sessions and a CMA Leaders’ Meet, structured around four thematic tracks focusing on repositioning India and the CMA profession, intensifying professional growth, strengthening competence and capability, and enhancing leadership in manufacturing and services.
Senior executives from major public sector undertakings such as Coal India Limited, BHEL and Airports Authority of India, representatives from leading private sector companies including Tata Group, Novartis India, Cummins India and Oracle, as well as experts from policy institutions and consulting firms, are participating as speakers.
More than 800 delegates from corporate organisations, industry associations, government departments, regulatory bodies, financial institutions and professional practices are expected to attend the convention. The proceedings are also being live-streamed to reach CMA professionals and students across India and abroad.
Organisers said Coimbatore’s strong industrial base, entrepreneurial culture and innovation-driven ecosystem make it an ideal venue for hosting the national convention of the CMA fraternity.
