The Confederation of Renewable Power & Energy Solutions, CORES, was formally launched in Coimbatore on Monday with the objective of bringing together stakeholders from the renewable energy and power solutions sector under a unified platform.
The launch event was held at Jenny’s Residency Hotel here.
CORES has been established to unite entrepreneurs, manufacturers, service providers and industry professionals from the renewable energy, solar, UPS, battery, stabiliser and power solutions segments.

The confederation aims to promote industry growth, policy advocacy, technological advancement, ethical business practices and consumer awareness.
Former IPS officer and former Tamil Nadu BJP State President K. Annamalai participated as the chief guest and formally unveiled the CORES logo and official website.
Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of renewable energy in India’s development and nation-building efforts, stressing the need for innovation and sustainable practices.
Former Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission, M. Chandrasekar, attended the programme as special invitee and shared insights on the evolving power and energy landscape in Tamil Nadu.
A major highlight of the event was the installation of office bearers of CORES. S. Sanjay was installed as President, M. Annal and K. Sivakumar as Vice Presidents, S. Lenin Sundaram as General Secretary, A. Senthil Kumar as Treasurer and U. Althaf Shariff as Joint Secretary.

Following the installation, the vision, mission and strategic roadmap of CORES were presented. Discussions focused on challenges and opportunities in the renewable energy and power solutions sector, with particular emphasis on the changing electricity scenario in Tamil Nadu.
CORES leaders said the confederation would work towards ethical business practices, skill development, policy dialogue, technology awareness and collaboration with other associations, while supporting government initiatives for clean, sustainable and affordable energy.
The launch was attended by industry leaders, entrepreneurs and association members from across the State.
