EPS sidelined in alliance talks!

The date for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections will be announced next month. Political parties have started to get excited about the elections. In Tamil Nadu, a four-cornered contest is likely.
As for the DMK alliance, there is a situation where existing parties and some more parties are competing together. The AIADMK alliance itself has broken into many elements. Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who is in charge of BJP’s Tamil Nadu, has stepped in to try to hold it together.
He has been camping in Chennai for the past two days, called AMMK leader TTV Dinakaran, held talks with him and included him in the alliance. Following that, he called PMK (A) faction leader Anbumani, New Justice Party leader A.C. Shanmugam, IJK leader Pari Vendhar, TMMK leader John Pandian, and Puratchi Baratham Party leader Poovai Jaganmoorthy separately and concluded the alliance talks with them.
None of the AIADMK leaders were present during these talks. Although Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced that AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi is currently the leader of the Tamil Nadu alliance, the BJP is conducting the entire alliance talks. This has shocked the AIADMK leaders. As far as the DMK alliance is concerned, DMK leader M.K. Stalin is conducting it. But as far as the AIADMK alliance is concerned, the alliance talks are taking place without Edappadi Palaniswami. New parties are being merged.
The BJP has started doing that work by saying, “The Chief Ministerial candidate is Edappadi. But we will decide the alliance ourselves.” Currently, only the DMDK, the Ramadoss-led PMK, and Puthiya Thamizhagam  are not joining that alliance. They did not attend the meeting that Prime Minister Modi will be participating in  Maduranthakam today. Only the other party leaders who met Piyush Goyal yesterday are sitting on the stage of today’s public meeting.
The BJP is trying to set up a field by getting ahead of the AIADMK-led alliance. The fact is that the BJP will also do the work of allocating seats to the alliance parties tomorrow. The leaders of those parties will also ask the BJP, which has been included in the alliance, for the seat distribution. The alliance party leaders including TTV Dinakaran are not going to go to Edappadi Palaniswami, who is being kept aside in alliance  talks.  They will ask seats from Piyush Goyal. The BJP is going to decide everything.
So, Edappadi Palaniswami is losing the respect of leading the alliance, and Piyush Goyal’s actions in pushing the AIADMK aside reflect that.  Will any AIADMK worker willingly accept the idea of bringing parties together without Edappadi Palaniswami in an AIADMK-led alliance?
AIADMK leaders, including former ministers, are now starting to fear that the BJP might create some chaos in Tamil Nadu at the last minute, as it did in other states. The workers are panicking.
AIADMK never faced such a situation during the MGR and Jayalalithaa era. The only truth is that the AIADMK led by Edappadi Palaniswami is currently losing that prestige!
