In a heartwarming twist of fate, a 10-month-old baby girl from Telangana has won a house worth Rs 16 lakh through a Rs 500 lottery draw, leaving residents amazed by her family’s good fortune.
Kancharla Ramabrahmam, a resident of Choutuppal in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, had been trying to sell his old house and land valued at Rs 16 lakh. When no buyers came forward, he came up with a creative plan — he announced a lucky draw, allowing interested participants to buy coupons for Rs 500 each, with the house as the prize.
Hundreds of people eagerly purchased tickets. Among them was Shankar, a hotel employee from Shankarpally in Ranga Reddy district. He bought four tickets — one each in the names of himself, his wife Prashanthi, his daughter Sai Rishika, and his 10-month-old baby girl, Hansika.
The draw was conducted on Sunday at the Jian Reddy Function Hall in Linga Reddy Gudem, Choutuppal. To everyone’s surprise, baby Hansika’s coupon was declared the winning ticket, making her the youngest owner of a Rs 16 lakh house.
Overjoyed by the news, Shankar and his family expressed their gratitude to the organiser. Villagers and participants congratulated little Hansika, calling it a stroke of pure luck and a heartwarming story of fortune smiling upon innocence.
