2.5 Crore benefited from NCD program: CM Stalin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has lauded the state’s healthcare efforts, announcing that 2.5 crore people have benefited from the non-communicable disease (NCD) control program over the past four years.
In a message posted on X, the Chief Minister said that the initiative has not only improved public health across Tamil Nadu but also gained international recognition, including a United Nations award.
Calling it an “Unwavering Journey,” he emphasized the program’s impact in reaching millions with life-saving interventions.
Stalin congratulated Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, who symbolically handed over a medicine kit to the 2.5 croreth beneficiary, Manonmani, from Thennangudi in Thanjavur district.
He also praised the Health Department Secretary, officials, and medical personnel for their steadfast commitment to building a healthier Tamil Nadu.
The state’s NCD program focuses on screening, early diagnosis, and free treatment for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases, significantly reducing the burden of chronic
