The 2nd Global Summit on Science and Social Sciences concluded today at the Flamingo Hotel, Penang, Malaysia, after four days of intensive academic exchange from November 23 to 26. The event was jointly organised by Jai Shivaasni Educational Trust (JET), Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu, and Nirmala College for Women (Autonomous), Coimbatore, which is affiliated to Bharathiar University and accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC in its fourth cycle.
The summit brought together scholars, researchers, industry specialists and young innovators from various countries. A 14-member delegation from Nirmala College for Women, comprising faculty members, research scholars and students, took part and actively contributed to the technical sessions.
Covering a wide spectrum of disciplines across Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, the summit featured keynote addresses, panel discussions and oral and poster presentations. The sessions focused on global academic challenges, strengthening research methodologies, and promoting interdisciplinary research collaborations.

One of the major highlights of the summit was the signing of international Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Nirmala College for Women and the Department of Applied Sciences, UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur. The college has also entered into 26 MoUs with various international institutions aimed at collaborative research, innovation-driven projects, environmental initiatives and staff–student exchange programmes, further expanding its global academic network.
The event offered participants valuable exposure to international academic practices, opportunities for idea exchange and avenues to foster long-term research partnerships. Delegates returned with enriched perspectives and strengthened professional networks, marking the summit as a significant academic milestone.
