Erode Corporation selected 60 autos to function from the newly opened Mofussil bus stand at Solar Erode.
The mayor Nagarthnam Subramaniam, deputy mayor Selvaraj, Commissioner Arpith Jain and assistant commissioner Karthikeyan presided over the selection process.
Of 427 auto drivers applied, 60 among them were selected. In the first phase 30 will function and in the next phase, the rest will
function.
Rs 10 will be the daily fee to be remitted to the corporation for parking auto stand there.
CITU auto drivers union leaders Vadivelu and Kanmani hailed the corporation that it conducted the selection in fair manner.
