Abandoned baby monkey finds comfort in toy

A heartwarming video of a baby monkey clinging to a stuffed toy for comfort at Ichikawa Zoological and Botanical Garden in Japan has gone viral on social media.
The infant monkey, named Puncil by zoo staff, was reportedly abandoned by its mother a few days after birth. To provide companionship and emotional comfort, caretakers introduced a monkey-shaped soft toy to the young animal.
Although Puncil was later introduced into the monkey troop in January, the baby continues to carry the toy wherever it goes inside the enclosure.
The touching visuals of the young primate seeking warmth and security from the toy have moved viewers online, with many praising the zoo staff for their compassionate care.
