Actor Thadi Balaji quits TVK, joins Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi

Actor Thadi Balaji on Thursday quit actor Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and joined the newly formed Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi headed by Jose Charles Martin in
Puducherry.
Jose Charles Martin, son of lottery businessman Martin, had earlier been running the JCM Makkal Mandram and launched the Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi last week, marking his formal entry into active politics in the Union Territory.
Thadi Balaji joined the party at its Puducherry office, where he was welcomed by Jose Charles Martin and formally inducted by being presented with the party shawl. With this, the actor officially aligned himself with the new political outfit.
Party sources said Thadi Balaji would actively campaign for the party in the coming days. They also indicated that more personalities from the film industry are expected to join the Latchiya Jananayaga Katchi in the near future.
The development comes close on the heels of recent remarks by Jose Charles Martin questioning the leadership surrounding actor Vijay and suggesting that any political alliance with him should be approached cautiously.
