The Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women hosted its national-level intercollegiate technical symposium ADVAITA 2K25 yesterday. The event was jointly organized by the School of Engineering, School of Education, and Self-Financing Programmes.
The symposium was inaugurated by Padma Shri Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former ISRO Director, who emphasized that “Involvement, Innovation, and Teamwork (IIT)” are the key pillars for any institution striving to become an Institute of Excellence. Sharing glimpses from his professional journey, Dr. Annadurai inspired students with insights on perseverance and dedication in space research.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar presided over the programme and lauded the achievements of the chief guest. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges and featured technical and non-technical contests, knowledge-sharing sessions, and innovative challenges, offering participants a vibrant stage to display their skills and creativity.
