Adwaith Lakshmi Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Adwaith Textiles Pvt. Ltd. Managing Director Ravi Sam has been elected Chairman of the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 terms.
TEXPROCIL, sponsored by the Government of India, has elected its new office-bearers for the two-year period.
Ravi Sam, a leading industrialist and philanthropist from Coimbatore, is a commerce graduate with a postgraduate diploma in textile technology from the University of Manchester. He has extensive experience in the textile industry and serves on the boards of several organisations.
A strong advocate of sustainability, heritage conservation and social development, Ravi Sam is the founder-trustee of Siruthuli and Chairman of Green Rameshwaram. He has also held leadership positions in the Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) and the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), Tamil Nadu.
Through his philanthropic and educational initiatives, Ravi Sam has contributed to the development of the textile industry and wider social causes.
Dharmendra Goyal, Managing Director of Shreedhar Cotsyn Private Limited, a three-star export house, has been elected Vice-Chairman of TEXPROCIL.
He is also Managing Director of Shreedhar Spinners Limited, a modern cotton spinning mill in Amaravati, Maharashtra. His experience in cotton procurement, trading, exports and manufacturing provides him with extensive exposure to the textile value chain, market dynamics and the evolving needs of the industry.
