Tamil Nadu’s Chennai-One Mobility app, designed to attract 48 lakh commuters, received 1.3 lakh downloads and 4,394 ticket bookings in the first 24 hours of its launch. Over 5.5 lakh users registered in the first month. 14 lakh travel searches and 8.1 lakh ticket bookings were made.
Launched by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, the app integrates Chennai’s major transport networks. It will track users and vehicles in real time.
It also helps you find nearby stops or stations. It shows live routes and schedules. It also allows you to buy tickets through UPI and scan them on the go. It enables cashless transactions.
The app, which is being maintained by Bengaluru-based Moving Tech Innovations Private Limited under a five-year contract, offers travel recommendations for multiple routes, information on upcoming vehicle arrivals, and a list of major city landmarks with images to help tourists plan their trips.
The app simplifies the use of Chennai’s public transport and provides a unified experience for commuters. It is designed to reduce the time and hassle of commuters by bringing various modes of transport together on one platform.
Using GPS technology, users can find bus stops or train stations near their location. They can also see the live location of buses and trains, as well as their departure and arrival times.
In this situation, the Chennai Metropolitan Transport Authority has announced a special offer of one rupee. Through this, bus, metro and suburban train tickets can be purchased for one rupee through the Chennai-One app. This means that this offer is only available to those who are traveling for the first time in any of the above transport services. No end date has been announced for this concession scheme, which started yesterday. But it has been informed that it will be valid only for a limited period.
This one rupee ticket offer is aimed at encouraging people to use cashless public transport. The Chennai-One app acts as a comprehensive platform for daily travel.
Thus, the Chennai-One app has been well received by the people. This app, which was created for the first time in the country, can be used in 4 languages - Tamil, English, Telugu, and Kannada. There is no doubt that the Chennai One app project will soon be implemented in cities across the country!
Amazing `Chennai One` mobility app!
