Amrita Vidyalayam Marks Silver Jubilee With Grand Annual Day Celebrations

Amrita Vidyalayam Senior Secondary School, Ettimadai, celebrated its grand two-day 25th Annual Day, marking a significant milestone in its journey of providing value-based education. The celebrations brought together students, parents, alumni, faculty members and distinguished guests for a vibrant display of academic excellence, culture and tradition.

The celebrations, themed “God Dwells in Nature,” began under the presidentship of Swamini Muktamrita Prana, Manager of Amrita Vidyalayam, Ettimadai, Nallampalayam and Kalapatti. Chief Guest Prof. P. Kanagasabapathi, Secretary and Trustee of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation, New Delhi, highlighted India’s rich educational heritage and stressed the importance of preserving a value-based system of learning.

Academic Consultant Jayalatha C. delivered the felicitation address, while Principal Nedumaran S. presented the Annual Report, outlining the school’s achievements in academics, technology-enabled learning, STEM education and overall student development. Students who excelled in academics, sports and co-curricular activities were honoured, followed by colourful cultural performances reflecting India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

The second day’s programme was presided over by Br. Nikhileshamrita Chaitanya of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai. Chief Guest Dr. Anil G. Variath, Dean of Amrita International School of Law, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, encouraged students to build their lives on the foundations of character, compassion and integrity.

Swamini Muktamrita Prana and Jayalatha C. delivered the felicitation addresses, emphasising the importance of family values, emotional well-being and the ethical use of technology. The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural performances showcasing nature, Indian traditions and Sanatana Dharma.

The two-day event also recognised the achievements of outstanding students in academics, sports and co-curricular activities while highlighting the institution’s continued commitment to holistic education.
