Amrita Vidyalayam, Ettimadai, student Master Vikas A of Class II C has brought glory to the school and the nation by winning seven medals, including five golds, at the Asian Open Schools Invitational Short Course Swimming Championship 2025 held at Siam University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Competing against young swimmers from across Asia, Vikas showcased exceptional skill and determination in the pool. He secured five gold, one silver, and one bronze medal, earning the prestigious Individual Championship Title at the international meet.
His medal tally includes gold medals in the 100m freestyle, 25m butterfly, 50m butterfly, 100m butterfly, and individual medley events. He also won a silver in the 50m freestyle and a bronze in the 50m backstroke, marking a remarkable all-round performance.
Expressing her appreciation, Swamini Muktamrita Prana Ji, Manager of Amrita Vidyalayam, said the achievement was a blessing of Amma’s grace and the result of Vikas’s unwavering efforts. She added that he stands as an inspiration for all children to dream big, work hard, and remain grounded in values.
