Anokha 2026, the 13th edition of the national-level technical festival of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Coimbatore campus, brought together students, academia and industry on a vibrant platform of technology, innovation and creativity.
Since its inception in 2010, Anokha has grown into one of India’s leading student-driven techfests, reflecting its guiding ethos of “Dare to Be Different” and its continuing focus on scale and quality.
A major highlight of this edition was the CEO Conclave, which featured over 15 industry leaders representing prominent organisations including Ashok Leyland, HCL Technologies, TVS Motor Company, Terracarb, MFAR Carbon, Intrucept Labs and DLF. The conclave enabled meaningful industry–academia interaction through panel discussions and direct engagement with faculty members, researchers and students.
The Anokha Excellence Award was instituted for the first time this year. Under the Industry Leader category, the award was presented to Dr. T. R. Parasuraman, Executive Advisor at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, in recognition of his distinguished contributions to industry and technology leadership.
The inauguration of Anokha 2026 coincided with the 23rd Institution Day celebrations of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. On the occasion, more than 250 awards were presented to faculty, students and staff for outstanding contributions in academics, research and service. Elango Narayanan, Managing Director of Polkart Logistics, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
The techfest witnessed strong national participation, recording over 5,500 student registrations. The programme featured 20 hands-on workshops in advanced technical domains, 29 competitions across engineering, computing, sciences, design and allied fields, and four hackathons, including the AI-verse Hackathon.
The Anokha Techfair and Exhibition showcased over 100 student innovations, hosted 50 mentor–mentee sessions and attracted more than 4,200 visitors, including industry leaders, policymakers and school students. The Rolling Trophy for the Best Technical Department was awarded to the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Amrita Coimbatore campus. Total prize money distributed during the festival exceeded ₹7.5 lakh.
Cultural evenings under Anokha Eventide featured performances by student clubs and a proshow by playback singer Naresh Iyer.
Organised with the support of over 50 faculty members and 500 student volunteers, Anokha 2026 stood out as a dynamic space where young minds came together to learn, lead and shape ideas for the future.
