Asanur selected as the first village in the district for the startup scheme

Under the Tamil Nadu government’s ‘Startup in Every Village’ scheme, Asanur village in the Thalavadi block has been selected as the first village in Erode district to promote the establishment of small and micro-enterprises using locally available resources.
The ‘Startup in Every Village’ launch ceremony was held at the READ office in Asanur on Friday. READ Director Karuppusamy presided over the event, and Project Manager Palanisamy delivered the welcome address.
The importance of the ‘Startup in Every Village’ scheme in improving the livelihoods of rural people was highlighted.
Project Officer Gurushankar and Project Coordinator Gopinath, in their speeches, stated that this is a comprehensive livelihood development scheme targeting rural communities.
They added that the scheme creates opportunities for youth, women, and farmers to start small, micro, and startup businesses based on local resources. Project Officer Saravanakumar delivered the vote of thanks.
