Asokan assumes charge as Indian Oil Southern region executive director

V. C. Asokan has assumed charge as Executive Director, Southern Region and State Head of Indian Oil Corporation for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from April 1, 2026.
He will also serve as the State Level Coordinator for the oil industry in both regions.
With over three decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, Asokan has expertise in petroleum operations, industrial sales, bunker fuel sales and retail sales.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli, and has handled key assignments across Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
Prior to this, he was serving as All India Head of Retail Sales at Indian Oil Corporation’s headquarters in Mumbai, where he led several major retail initiatives.
He has also worked internationally as Vice President (Sales) at Lanka IOC PLC in Sri Lanka, contributing to the expansion of fuel marketing operations.
Asokan is also a member of the Board of Sun Mobility Pte Ltd, Singapore, supporting developments in sustainable mobility.
