Auto driver’s ouiet kindness leaves techie speechless

At a time when stories of public apathy and inaction often dominate social media, an autorickshaw driver in Bengaluru has won hearts with a simple yet thoughtful gesture.
Udaya Patel, a software engineer, shared his experience on LinkedIn after booking a ride through Rapido.
He said he was surprised to notice a small board inside the auto stating that drinking water, tissue paper and hand sanitiser were provided free for passengers. The notice also mentioned that pregnant women could travel free of charge for up to five kilometres.
Artificial flowers decorated the seating area, adding a warm touch to the vehicle. What struck Patel most was that the driver did not highlight or seek appreciation for these efforts and simply went about his work quietly.
In his post, Patel remarked that the driver’s humanity appeared to be a part of his routine rather than an act performed for recognition.
The post has since gone viral, with social media users praising the auto driver’s selfless attitude and calling it a refreshing reminder that compassion still thrives in everyday life.
