The 10th annual memorial trophy tournament of the late S. Raju Naidu & Kausalya, organized by the Thanjavur Challengers Badminton Club, was held at the club premises. The first prize of Rs. 8000 was awarded to Surya and Lokesh by Thanjavur South District BJP President, Jai. Satish.
The second prize of Rs. 6000 was presented to Reagan and Dharman by Auditor R. Ravichandran. The third prize of Rs. 3000 was given to Prithiviraj and Fayaz by Saravanan, owner of Rathna Jewellery.
Another third prize of Rs. 3000 was awarded to Kumar and Sanjay by Advocate N. Selvaraj.
R. Rajini Ganesan, of the Thanjavur Challengers Badminton Club management, expressed gratitude to the coach K. Venkatesh, Bombay Sweets owner Mr. Subramani Sharma, Sri Rathna Jewellery owner Saravanan, Mr. R. Mahendran, Vijay and K. Sudhaman for successfully conducting the tournament.
