Bank of Baroda has settled an accident insurance claim of Rs. 1.40 crore in favour of Priyadarshini, wife and nominee of Ravichandran, a constable attached to Vellakoil Police Station, who died in a fatal accident.
Ravichandran was maintaining a Tamil Nadu State Government Salary Package Account with Bank of Baroda’s Tiruppur branch. Under the MoU between Bank of Baroda and the Tamil Nadu Government, eligible government employees are covered under applicable accident insurance provisions linked to the salary package.
The insurance claim of Rs. 1.40 crore was settled in favour of Ms.Priyadarshini and the amount was credited to her account.
The claim amount was formally presented to the nominee in the presence of Mr.Kamalakannan, Regional Manager, Bank of Baroda, Coimbatore Region; Mr.Kumaraguru, Chief Manager, Bank of Baroda; and senior police officials, including the Inspector General of Police, Coimbatore, and the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore.
The settlement highlights Bank of Baroda’s support for Tamil Nadu Government employees and their families by providing timely assistance to eligible beneficiaries following unforeseen circumstances.
