A new branch of Bank of Maharashtra was inaugurated at Kumarapalayam on Tuesday. The branch was formally opened by K.P.E. Ravindran, Correspondent of the SSM Educational Institutions, by lighting the traditional lamp.
The branch is located at No. 36D, Subbulakshmi Complex, near KON Theatre on Pallipalayam Road in Kumarapalayam. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravindran said Kumarapalayam was an important industrial town with several educational institutions and welcomed the opening of a nationalised bank branch in the area.
Addressing the gathering, Branch Manager E. Swathi said the Kumarapalayam branch was the 102nd branch of Bank of Maharashtra in Tamil Nadu and the 52nd branch under the Coimbatore zone. She urged the public to make full use of the banking services offered by the new branch.
Coimbatore Deputy Zonal Manager R. Raju, complex owner Sarangapani, Venkateswara Textiles owner Palanisamy, bank officials and members of the public participated in the inauguration ceremony.
