A ten-day special sports training camp for students of the Bharani Park Educational Group concluded at the Bharani Park Educational Complex in Karur, with 600 students receiving intensive coaching across multiple disciplines.
The camp, held from April 15 to April 24, covered a wide range of sports including athletics, judo, aerobics, volleyball, chess, carrom, football, basketball, karate, yogasana and silambam.
The initiative aimed at promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and nurturing talent for higher-level competitions.
The valedictory function was presided over by Mohanarengan, Editor of the Bharani Park Educational Group, along with Secretary Padmavati Mohanarengan and Trustee Subhashini Ashok Shankar.
Addressing the gathering, Primary School Principal Dr. So. Ramasubramanian said the institution conducts such camps annually to strengthen students’ physical fitness, instil discipline and encourage the emergence of national-level athletes.
He noted with pride that all 600 participants successfully completed training this year.
To ensure the well-being of students, the school provided nutritious soup and pulses daily throughout the camp. Certificates were distributed to all participants during the closing
ceremony.
The event arrangements were coordinated by Park Principal K. Shekhar, Bharani Vidyalaya Principal Su. Sudhadevi, Deputy Principal Ra. Priya, and Physical Education staff including Gangadharan and Chandramohan, along with other teachers.
