Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagendran met veteran actor Rajinikanth at his residence in Poes Garden, Chennai, on Tuesday morning.
During the courtesy meeting, Nainar Nagendran presented a special publication highlighting the key achievements and development initiatives implemented during the 12 years of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sharing details of the meeting on social media platform X, Nainar Nagendran said he met Rajinikanth along with BJP National Secretary Arvind Menon and discussed the country’s development journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
According to his post, the books presented to Rajinikanth outlined major welfare schemes, infrastructure projects and developmental milestones achieved during the past 12 years.
Nainar Nagendran described the meeting as a courtesy call and expressed happiness over presenting the publications to the actor, who is a recipient of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award and the Padma Bhushan.
BJP State Secretary Karate Thiagarajan and State Campaign Wing Organiser Pandiaraj were also present during the meeting. Photographs from the interaction were later shared on social media by the BJP leader.
