Road traffic on the railway bridge located at Km 13/700-800 between Coimbatore and Podanur Main Line near Sivanandha Colony Road and Saibaba Colony will be diverted from July 20 to July 24 to facilitate restoration and repair works by Southern Railway.

According to a communication issued by the Office of the Senior Section Engineer (Permanent Way), Coimbatore North, the bridge will remain closed to vehicular traffic daily from 12 noon to 6 p.m. during the five-day period.

Motorists have been advised to use the alternative route via Sanganoor Power House while the repair works are in progress.

The Southern Railway has requested the Coimbatore District Collector to notify the public and make necessary arrangements for traffic diversion to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and public safety during the bridge restoration work.
