BROTHER IN UNIFORM: SOLDIERS FULFIL FALLEN COMRADE’S DUTIES AT SISTER’S WEDDING

In a moving tribute to a fallen hero, soldiers of the Indian Army became the brothers of Aradhana, the sister of late soldier Ashish Kumar, at her wedding in Parli village, Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

Ashish Kumar, who served in Arunachal Pradesh, lost his life during Operation Alert in February last year. Determined that his absence should not leave a void on his sister’s special day, Ashish’s fellow soldiers travelled from Arunachal Pradesh to take part in the wedding.

They led the groom’s procession, escorted him to the stage, stood beside the couple during rituals, and accompanied them after the ceremony—fulfilling every traditional duty of a brother with dignity and devotion.

As a token of affection and lifelong protection, the soldiers presented Aradhana with a fixed deposit as a wedding gift.

A video of the emotional event has gone viral, touching hearts across the nation.

“It was our moral duty to stand by Aradhana and honor Ashish’s memory,” said one of the soldiers, reflecting the unbreakable bond of brotherhood that defines the Indian Army.
