A Murrah buffalo named ‘Vidhayak’, raised on a lavish diet of cashews, almonds, pistachios, ghee, and milk, has become the star attraction at the ongoing farmers’ fair held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology (SVPUAT) in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
Owned by Padma Shri awardee Narendra Singh from Haryana, the prized buffalo has been valued at an astounding Rs 8 crore. However, the owner insists that his beloved buffalo is not for sale.
“My Vidhayak consumes eight litres of milk daily along with dry fruits and ghee. She belongs to a superior Murrah breed that I’ve carefully nurtured,” said Singh, who has been exhibiting the buffalo at major agricultural fairs across northern India.
Known for his innovative breeding methods, Singh reportedly earns lakhs every year by selling stem cells from the buffalo, making ‘Vidhayak’ one of the most expensive and celebrated dairy animals in India.
