Building Future Innovators: Stanes ICSE School Hosts ‘Innovision 2025’

Stanes ICSE School, Coimbatore, buzzed with energy and excitement as it hosted ‘Innovision 2025’, its much-awaited annual science fair that brought together innovation, creativity, and youthful curiosity under one roof. The event, inaugurated by Mr. John Stephen, Principal, Stanes Anglo-Indian School, featured a wide spectrum of exhibits across categories including Science, Commerce, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biology, and the Start-Up Mela. Adding to the festive atmosphere was a vibrant food court, serving an array of delicacies prepared and managed by students.

The school’s Head Boy welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the day. In his address, he highlighted the variety of categories and urged students to “celebrate this joyful and enriching experience where learning meets imagination.”

Creativity Meets Curiosity

The campus transformed into a hub of ideas, experiments, and enterprise. Among the most popular attractions was the Nail Art Section, where students demonstrated techniques like 3D nail design and gel extensions cured under LED lights. The Face Painting Hall too drew an enthusiastic crowd, with bright palettes and artistic flair adding color to the event. In the Hooks & Luxe Hall, third graders impressed visitors by explaining painting techniques and their creative inspirations. Unsurprisingly, a painting of football legend Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) was one of the biggest hits among the audience.

Science Takes the Spotlight

The Science Exhibits Hall remained the heart of the fair, showcasing the curiosity and ingenuity of young learners. Fourth graders captivated onlookers with their detailed working model demonstrating solar and lunar eclipses.

Another standout project was an Automatic Street Lighting System by the fifth graders. Using motion sensors, their model switched lights on or off depending on pedestrian movement, emphasizing energy conservation. They explained that the model was made using recycled materials.  They emphasized that it was not just about saving power but also about reusing everyday items to make something useful.”

Sustainability and Science in Action

The Biology Hall buzzed with curiosity, particularly around a detailed Drip Irrigation Exhibit designed by the tenth graders. Their model used sensors to demonstrate how controlled irrigation helps conserve water and improve soil health. They mentioned that with the growing water scarcity, they wanted to show how smart irrigation can make farming more efficient.

Meanwhile, the seventh graders wowed visitors with a Chocolate Vending Machine, a fully functional model that combined fun with technology. Equally fascinating was an exhibit on the Working of Satellites, presented by students of grade seven, who explained orbital paths and communication links with remarkable clarity.

AI and Innovation for the Future

No science fair in this era would be complete without Artificial Intelligence—and Innovision 2025 was no exception. The star attraction of the day was ‘OMRALI AI’, an ambitious project developed by 12th graders. The platform featured Smart AI Chat, AI Image Generation, multiple voice styles, and support for over 20 languages. They mentioned that they wanted to create something that shows how AI can be both educational and creative. The response from students and visitors has been amazing.

Entrepreneurship and Hands-On Learning

A distinctive feature of this year’s fair was the Start-Up Mela, which gave students a chance to channel their entrepreneurial spirit. From creative business concepts to practical product ideas, the stalls reflected innovation and teamwork. The initiative encouraged students to apply classroom learning to real-world contexts, building confidence and business acumen.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Zenette Jeyaprakash, Principal of Stanes School-ICSE/ISC, said, “We have been an ICSE school since 2012, and ‘Innovision 2025’ truly embodies the spirit of our curriculum — learning beyond textbooks. The ICSE approach emphasizes critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving, and this event gives students a platform to express what they have learned in creative, hands-on ways.”

She added, “Our Start-Up Mela is a unique feature that builds entrepreneurial skills. The entire program — from Science to Commerce to AI — is completely student-run. The idea is to help students connect their learning with society. The profits from the fair go toward community service initiatives, ensuring that education also translates into social contribution.”

Learning Beyond Classrooms

The fair concluded on a high note, with parents, teachers, and visitors lauding the students’ talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Teachers who mentored the participants emphasized that such events not only enhance conceptual understanding but also foster collaboration, innovation, and communication skills.

Dr.James Gnanadoss, Treasurer of the Stanes School Institutions visited the Science Fair and Exhibition and was very appreciative of the good work of the students and all the arrangements made.
