The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official timetable for the 2026 Class 10 and 12 board examinations, confirming that both exams will begin on February 17, 2026.
According to the schedule published on the CBSE website (cbse.gov.in), the Class 10 board exams will be held from February 17 to March 10, while the Class 12 exams will run from February 17 to April 9. Most examinations will be conducted from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with certain subjects concluding earlier depending on paper duration.
This year, nearly 45 lakh students from India and abroad are expected to appear for the CBSE board examinations. The board oversees thousands of affiliated schools across India and several countries worldwide.
CBSE officials also noted that practical and internal assessments for winter-bound schools have already begun, while practical exams for other regions will be conducted ahead of the theory exams.
It is noteworthy that CBSE has also introduced a two-board exam option for Class 10 students starting in 2026, offering more flexibility and opportunities for improvement.
Students can download the complete subject-wise timetable directly from the official CBSE website under the ‘Date Sheet’ section.
