Centre Grants Z Security to AAP MP Raghav Chadha

The Union Home Ministry has provided Z-category security to Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha following a recent review based on intelligence threat assessment.
The move comes shortly after the Punjab Government withdrew the Z+ security cover earlier extended to Chadha by the state police. The withdrawal followed a security review meeting amid reported differences between the MP and sections of the party leadership.
Soon after the state-level security was scaled down, the Centre stepped in to grant Z-category protection, which will be applicable in both Delhi and Punjab.Officials said the Delhi Police have been instructed to provide immediate security cover until detailed arrangements are put in place by central agencies.
Raghav Chadha, a prominent AAP leader, had recently faced internal party criticism over his political stance. He was also removed from key responsibilities within the party earlier this month, according to party sources.
