Chandrakanthi Public School Hosts 46th Coimbatore Sahodaya Football Tournament

Chandrakanthi Public School played host to the 46th Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex Inter School Football Tournament 2025, bringing together talent, teamwork, and youthful enthusiasm from across the district.

The three-day event, which began on September 23, saw the participation of 36 schools, with 29 teams competing in the Under-12 category and 32 teams in the Under-14 category. More than 1,000 students took to the field, turning the tournament into a celebration of sportsmanship, character, and passion for football.

The Under-12 finals, held on September 24, witnessed thrilling performances. Vivekam Senior Secondary School emerged as champions, while Sree Saraswathi Vidya Mandir School, Mettupalayam, secured the runner-up position. The Camford International School finished third, followed by CS Academy in fourth place.

The tournament was graced by Mr. Ganesh of Navabharat School, Coimbatore, who served as Observer on behalf of the Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex. The matches were officiated by 15 officials from the Coimbatore District Football Association, led by International Referee and Match Commissioner Mr. ShriKrishna, ensuring fair play and discipline.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrakanthi Public School highlighted that sports provide children with more than just physical strength—they nurture resilience, leadership, and teamwork. The school expressed gratitude to the Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex for the opportunity to host the event.

The Under-14 finals are scheduled for September 25, with excitement building as young footballers prepare to showcase their skills on the concluding day.
