Chengalpattu Collector Reviews Readiness For Assembly Polls

District Collector T. Sneha on Monday chaired a consultation meeting of Zonal Election Officers at the Grievance Redressal Hall of the Chengalpattu District Collectorate to review preparatory measures for the forthcoming 2026 Legislative Assembly General Elections.
The meeting focused on ensuring coordinated efforts among revenue, police and other line departments to facilitate the smooth and transparent conduct of the polls. Discussions were held on updating electoral rolls, strengthening infrastructure at polling stations, deploying adequate manpower and enforcing the Model Code of Conduct when notified.
District Superintendent of Police Sibin, Chengalpattu Sub-Collector S. Malathi Helen, Personal Assistant to the District Collector (In-charge) Currie, Special Assistant Collector (Social Security) Parimala, Backward Classes Welfare Officer Saravanan, Revenue Divisional Officers of Tambaram and Madhurantakam, Murali and Ramya, Assistant Commissioner Thirunavukkarasu, and other senior officials and police personnel participated in the meeting.
The Collector instructed officials to complete all preparatory works well in advance and ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place for the efficient conduct of the elections.
