Chief Minister inaugurates new residences for government printing office staffs

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today inaugurated newly constructed residential quarters for employees of the Tamil Nadu Government Printing Office at Kamaraj Nagar, Tondiarpet. The project, announced in the 2022–2023 Budget under the Stationery and Printing Department, aims to provide modern and affordable housing for staff.
Built at a cost of ₹34.30 crore, the residential complex spans 79,000 sq. ft. and comprises 96 apartments across a ground floor and six upper floors. The Chief Minister also handed over allotment orders to the beneficiaries.
The ground floor has been designed for parking, while each apartment on the first to sixth floors covers 450 sq. ft. and includes a ramp for differently abled residents. The complex is equipped with essential amenities such as electricity connection, lifts, fire-fighting systems, drinking water facilities, and sewage lines.
The premises also include internal roads, street lighting, and a compound wall, ensuring a secure and accessible environment for residents.
Tamil Development and Information Minister M.P. Swaminathan, Chief Secretary N. Muruganantham, and senior government officials were present at the inaugural event.
