Chief Minister M.K. Stalin participated in the Samathuva Pongal celebrations held at the Secretariat in Chennai on Tuesday, ahead of the Pongal festival on Wednesday.
As part of the State government’s initiative to observe Samathuva Pongal in government offices, the event at the Secretariat was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena, along with senior officials.
IAS officers and government employees took part in the celebrations wearing traditional attire, lending a festive atmosphere to the Secretariat premises.
The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin distributed Pongal to all those present and extended their Pongal greetings, underscoring the message of equality and social harmony associated with Samathuva Pongal.
